Is your engineering practice people centred and sustainable? Do you want to hear from some of NZ's leading engineers who are applying socially aware approaches to their engineering projects?
EWBNZ's 2018 Humanitarian Engineering conference will showcase engineering projects and work that demonstrates a strong people centred, sustainable approach to working with communities on technical projects. We will enable individuals working in the engineering sector both at home and overseas to showcase best practice and the beneficial project outcomes of this approach. By demonstrating that environmental and social sustainability has positive project outcomes, we hope to encourage attendees to incorporate this approach into their everyday actions and therefore we can normalise the behaviour and mindset.
We hope that participants will leave with a deeper understanding of benefits and impact of socially aware engineering and will be equipped to use what they have experienced to make a positive social change.
The call for abstracts to submit a paper to present at the conference is now closed. Thank you to all those who submitted an abstract. Our review panel are currently assessing these and we hope to be announcing speakers soon.
