EWB Design Challenge
EWBNZ runs design competitions annually as a part of our awareness and change initiativess. The competitions aim to facilitate learning about development engineering projects, and focuses on issues such as working with communities, designing with appropriate technology, sustainable devleopment, appreciation of cultural contexts, and communication.
In 2010, EWBNZ are offering two design competitions:
- The Australasian EWB Design Challenge - offered to first year engineering students at the University of Auckland and AUT as part of their first year design cirriculums.
- The Odyssey Challenge - an open design challenged offered to all year levels of engineering students across AUT, Auckland University and Canterbury University (other universities also welcome to participate). The Odyssey Challenge runs from late April til early October.
Newsflash!! The 2010 Odyssey Challenge will be launched at Auckand University on Wed 21st April 6pm during the Auckland Students Chapter's April Assembly. Entries will for the compeition will open for two weeks after the launch. Get ready to apply!
