Join Engineers Without Borders New Zealand for a day packed with thought provoking speakers, innovative solutions and engaging debate.
Engineers Without Borders’ annual conference ‘Elevate’ brings together students and professionals, academics, development workers and representatives from our community partners. We meet to learn, discuss and act on EWB’s vision; to connect, educate and empower people through humanitarian engineering.
This year’s conference will tackle a topic with enormous implications, climate change. Engineers have a key role to play in adapting to climate disruption and building a zero-carbon world.
Hear from inspiring speakers from the Pacific, as well as innovators and leaders here in New Zealand, who are all working on the question of “How can we help Pacific communities to fight climate change?”.
This conference will encourage all of us to explore outside the technical sphere and investigate the social aspects of what climate change means for our communities, in NZ and the South Pacific.
For students, the conference offers a unique opportunity to meet with professional engineers and other leaders working in the humanitarian sector, as well as building your understanding of the skills and knowledge that are most valuable to make a difference with your future career.
For professionals, the conference is a chance to explore how you can apply your skills for the benefit of communities here and in the South Pacific and connect with people interested in humanitarian engineering.
Connect with the humanitarian engineering movement, challenge yourself, get inspired. See you at Elevate 2016.
