Ian Twomey, Hale & Twomey Limited, will speak on the development of the New Zealand biofuels policy, the limitations on introducing biofuels to the
market, the response to date of the petroleum industry and the biofuels
industry and the economics of biofuels versus petroleum fuels. Hale &
Twomey Limited is an energy consultancy who were lead consultants for the
government's Enabling Biofuels study/
Brian Cox, Executive Office, Bioenergy Association of NZ. will speak on
the opportunities and realities of NZ becoming self sufficient in liquid
biofuels. BANZ has been established to promote and coordinate the
development of a bioenergy industry in New Zealand.
