It has been a busy few weeks here in Vanuatu. I took a short trip back to the capital Port Vila to procure more materials and organize future shipments. I can confirm that this process is slow and extremely challenging!! However I ended up winning and came back to Ambrym with a ship full of materials.

First foundations poured for the Wawan project
With the recent arrival of our materials, construction has begun on the rainwater harvesting structures for the Wawan project in North East Ambrym, Vanuatu!

With the arrival of our materials last week we have begun construction on two project sites. The villagers and myself got stuck right into digging foundations, cutting box framework and mixing/pouring cement by hand.
